Benton Police Department
•A representative from First Assembly of God on South Arkansas 5 reported fuel was stolen from one of the church's vehicles.
•A woman at Walmart reported money from her bank account was used without her permission.
•Cody Stuckey, 21, of Bauxite was arrested Alcoa Road and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. During the same incident, Justin Scott, 30, of Benton was arrested and charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also named on an active warrant.

Benton School District presents annual report

October 15, 2014

During the regularly scheduled Benton School Board meeting Monday night, Karla Neathery, assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, presented the district's annual report for the 2013-14 school year.

Neathery said it has been a "very successful year" and the district is proud of its accomplishments.
