Bryant High School will host an anti-bullying program Thursday, Sept. 11.
The program is based on the diaries of Rachel Scott, who was the first person killed April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School.
The intent of the program is to make a positive change at the school.
"Rachel's personal acts of kindness and compassion, coupled with the contents of her six diaries, have become the foundation for the most life-changing school program in America," said Devin Sherrill, Bryant School District communications director.
Experienced runners and beginners alike are encouraged to join the Saline County Striders and begin the Little Rock Marathon training programs.
Little Rock Marathon race officials announced Tuesday that Saline County residents will have the opportunity to learn more about running or walking a marathon during an informational meeting next Tuesday, Sept. 16.
The event is set for 6:30 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Community Center, 3505 Boone Road in Benton.
The Little Rock Marathon offers a free training program for individuals planning to participate in the 2015 race.
Saline Memorial Health Foundation has teamed with Everett Buick GMC to host the 11th annual Swing Fore Saline golf tournament this Thursday and Friday at Hurricane Golf and Country Club in Bryant.
Being held in conjunction with the tournament is the annual Gathering on the Greens on Thursday night at the country club.

HONOLULU â€” A Saline County woman died while snorkeling off Lanai during a visit to Hawaii.
According to a press release, 58-year-old Jane Dorn of Alexander died Monday morning on a snorkel cruise.
Maui police say Dorn was a guest on the Pacific Whale Foundationâ€™s Ocean Discovery snorkel cruise.
She was found unresponsive in the water.
Dorn was given CPR on the vessel and was transported to Manele Harbor where Lanai police determined she had died.
An autopsy was planned.
Police originally reported Dorn as being from Arizona.
