Dabbs to deliver state of city speech at Tuesday's council meeting

Mayor Jill Dabbs will begin the Bryant City Council meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday by giving her annual “State of the City” speech.

The location is Boswell Municipal Complex.

This council also is scheduled to discuss possibly repealing a $20,000 forensic audit that was approved by the council in 2013.

Bauxite softball hangs tough, baseball routs

The Bauxite Lady Miners softball team picked up a 5-3 win on Monday hosting Pangburn, while the Miners baseball team routed the Tigers 10-0 in Bauxite.
Freshman Bailey Buffington started and got the win knocking in two runs for the Lady Miners, and senior starting pitcher Austin Sheridan pitched a complete-game shutout and had three RBI in the win.

Lady Hornets win 2 over the weekend

The Bryant Lady Hornets went 2-1 over the weekend at the Beebe/Cabot Tournament. Falling 4-3 to Cabot, Bryant responded with a 4-3 win over Batesville and a 6-4 win over the Cabot junior varsity team to improve to 3-1 on the season.
