Baptist Health MedFlight to support Saline County Health Fair in Bryant

Baptist Health MedFlight, the healthcare systems’ air ambulance, will be participating in the Saline County Health and Wellness Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 14 at Bryant First United Methodist Church located at 508 North Reynolds Road.

Free and open to the community, the Saline County Health and Wellness Fair will feature more than 30 exhibitors providing health and wellness information. Other offerings include health screenings, disaster and emergency services, fitness demonstrations, and children’s activities.

Saline County water levels rising high as rain continues to fall

Concrete picnic tables rest beneath the Saline River behind Riverside Grocery in Benton on Monday after severe thunderstorms and rain showers pounded Saline County on Sunday night.

A rain-filled weekend caused river levels to rise tremendously. With more rain in the forecast this week, water levels could rise even more, heightening the risk for flood-like situations.

Storms causes tree to fall on local business

William Townsend, an employee of the Benton Street Department, uses a chain saw to slice a large piece of a tree that fell and struck Roberson & Associates Insurance Agency on Sunday night on North Market Street in Benton. It is unclear if straight-line winds or lightning caused the damage. Numerous trees and structures were damaged in the severe thunderstorms that swept across Central Arkansas on Sunday.
