Carl D. Greenway

October 21, 2011

Carl D. Greenway, 57, of Paron, passed away Wednesday, Oct.19.  He was born Nov. 12, 1953, in Little Rock. He was a carpenter and a heavy equipment operator.  He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and the OCBR Bronco’s.
He was preceded in death by his father, J. B. Greenway.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Greenway; a son, Joseph Greenway; his mother, Dorothy Greenway, all of Paron; a sister, Mary Lancaster of Benton; and two grandchildren, Riley and Alex.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at Fowler Cemetery.

Randy Louis Tillman

Randy Louis Tillman, 54, of Mayflower, passed away Oct. 18.  He was born Oct. 8, 1957, in Benton, to Edward and Minnie Rogers Tillman.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Tracey Tillman.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Tillman; two sons, Steven Tillman and Jeremy Tillman; a brother, Mickey Tillman; and a sister, Sondra Tillman.
Graveside service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Pine Mountain Cemetery in Damascus. 
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ashby Funeral Home.

Mary Frances Cottrell

Mary Frances Cottrell, 85, of Banks, died Monday, Oct. 17, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home. Born Sept. 14, 1926, in Banks, daughter of the late Raymond C. Bradford and Willie Lee Risher Bradford, she was a homemaker, member of Banks Baptist Church and the widow of the Rev. Thelbert Cottrell, who died Jan. 9, 1983. They were united in marriage on Sept. 26, 1948.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lamar Bradford and Norman Lewis Bradford; and a sister, Sybil Davis.

Lewis D. Mann, 77, of Benton, passed away Monday, October 17.  He was born July 26, 1934 in Little Rock.  Mr. Mann was a truck driver and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Julia Mann and his first wife, Joyce Mann.
 He is survived by his wife, Myong Mann; three sons, Robert, Jerry and Larry Mann; step-son, Trip Leach; two sisters, Catherine Corder and Nancy Sutterfield; four grandchildren, Estefani, Rachael, Rose and Matthew Mann and three step-grandchildren, Quinton, Alex and Bentley Leach.

Georgene Lovell, 82, passed away Oct. 16, at the Saline Memorial Hospice House in Bryant. She was born Sept. 29, 1928, to the late Thomas and Ollie Mae Jackson. She was of the Baptist faith and a retired nurse.
in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas “Sonny” Jackson and Paul Edward Jackson; and two sisters, Eleanor Langley and Dora Mae Williams.
She is survived by her husband, Warren “Buddy” Lovell; two sons, Larry Lovell and Gary Lovell and wife Georgia, all of Benton; and one sister, Betty Steward of Vacaville, Calif.

Lawrence Kenyon "Slick" Dawson

Lawrence Kenyon "Slick" Dawson, 84, of Bryant passed away on Sunday, Oct. 16, at SMH Hospice House of Bryant.  He was born June 12, 1927, to William Thomas and Florence Emily Hulsey Dawson in Traskwood.
Mr. Dawson retired from Reynolds Metals Co. after 37 years of service.  He was a of the Missionary Baptist faith and had served as a deacon, a Sunday school superintendent and teacher. He was a 32nd-degree Mason, a member of the Scimitar Shrine Temple and the Scottish Rite organization.

Peggy Jo Brown, 73, of Benton passed away Friday Oct. 14. She was born in Jamestown, Texas on May 16, 1938 to Robert Gatha Ashley and Nora Evie Sims Ashley.

Conard Roe “Connie” Shelnut

Conard Roe “Connie” Shelnut went home to be with our Lord on Oct. 12.  He was born in Benton to Elbert and Bertha Shelnut on Aug. 28, 1934.
Mr. Shelnut graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1961, where he received a degree in electrical engineering.  While there he was president of the electrical engineering fraternity, Tau Beta Pi.  He served in the Air Force as a navigator and was later commissioned as a captain.

Michael Shawn Lynn

Michael Shawn Lynn, 38, of Benton, passed away Thursday, Oct. 13.  He was born July 26, 1973, in Hot Springs to Spencer Lynn and Marsha Diane Chancellor Lynn.  Michael was an assistant manager for Crow Burlingame.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Burl Chancellor and Hazen Lynn; and his grandmothers, Bernice Burks and Eva Lynn.

Frances Marie (Bridges) Willard-Wolf

Frances Marie (Bridges) Willard-Wolf died Oct. 1 at the age of 92.  She was born April 7, 1919, in Little Rock, the daughter of John and Ella Bridges.
She was a resident of Morrilton, but for many years had lived in Haskell.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Clorola Willard, who was 5 when taken in a tragic accident.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Peggy Ann Moser of Las Vegas, N.V.; a daughter, Bobby Modean Frach-Stewart of Morrilton; a son, David Arthur Willard of Silverdale, Wash.; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-granddaughters.
