Geneva Irene Wilhelm Carmichael

Geneva Irene Wilhelm Carmichael, 82, of Bryant went to be with the Lord on Friday June 6, 2014.
She was born July 14, 1931, to the late Carl and Addie Wilhelm of Alexander. She graduated from Mabelvale High School in 1949 and was married to the late Bobby Lee Carmichael of Bryant on June 20, 1953. She was a wonderful wife and devoted mother, spending her life serving others, especially family and friends.
Mrs. Carmichael retired from the Alexander Post Office in 1996.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee; and three infant grandsons.

James E. Vaughan

James E. Vaughan, 77, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 5, 2014, with his family by his side. 
He was a youth bowling league coach for seven years in Emerald, Neb.  When he wasn’t coaching kids, he was fishing and took pride in his yard work.
Mr. Vaughan married Mary June Snow on Feb. 19, 1955, who survives him.

Betty Sue McNeil Eaves

Betty Sue McNeil Eaves of Benton was born May 12, 1930, and passed away Thursday June 5, 2014.
She was reunited with her parents, Ruben F. McNeil Sr. and Memphis Ruth Welch McNeil; and her brother, Ruben F. "Bud" McNeil Jr.
Betty was a lifelong resident of Benton where she worked in bookkeeping and retail sales and served in 1960 as director of the 6th Congressional District crew leader for the federal census.
She also served as treasurer of the state Jaycettes in the early '60s.

David Eugene Hawley

David Eugene Hawley, 60, of Bryant passed away on Friday, May 30, 2014, in Ketchikan, Alaska while vacationing with his beloved wife on a dream vacation.
On Feb. 9, 1954, David was born to Eugene Arthur Hawley and Sammie Louise Bates-Hawley. As a young man, David spent much of his life with his late grandparents, Monroe Arthur Hawley and Christeen Parkridge-Hawley.
