Rogie Thomas Garrett

Rogie Thomas Garrett, 77, of Benton received his wings April 6, 2014.  He was born Nov. 1, 1936, in Paron. He was a Master Licensed Plumber from 1968, during which time he served and met many close friends in Saline County and surrounding cities.
He was a one-of-a-kind, prideful, fun-loving and hard-working man. He was a cattleman, an all-time farmer, a gardener, a Paron shuffler and a cook.
He had a passion for helping and giving to others and was well-known for making the best homemade sausage, peppered bacon and hams.

Wanda (Thomason) Wright

Wanda (Thomason) Wright, 65, of Dewitt passed away April 6, 2014. She was born Aug. 11, 1948, in Hot Springs. Wanda retired after teaching art for 18 years.
Wanda was preceded in death by her father, Barney Thomason.

Joe P. Buck

Joe P. Buck, 67, of Alexander went to be with the lord on April 3, 2014. Mr. Buck was born Aug. 23, 1946, in Sweet Home, to Joseph and Rhoda Buck.
He was an outdoorsman and had a passion for hunting and fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He retired from Dusty Mop and Mat rental after working there for 22 years, where he worked for the owner, Robert Roland, who will serve as honorary pallbearer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Rose Marie “Patsy” Leonard, Doris Davis and Kay Francis Buck.

John R. Pittman, Sr.

John R. Pittman, Sr., 92, of Chidester, died Saturday, April 5, 2014.  He was born Sept. 13, 1921, in Mt. Vernon, Texas.
He was the son of Aaron Alexander Pittman and Pennie Mae Smallwood Pittman.  He was an Army Veteran of World War II (1942-1946).  He retired from Montsanta Chemical.  He loved spending time with his family.
