Claude Lee 'Butch' Bennett, Jr.

Claude Lee “Butch” Bennett Jr., who friends and family called "Butch," passed away early in the morning on Monday, May 20, 2013.
He was born in Little Rock on Feb. 23, 1945, to the late Claude L. Onie Mae (Golden) Bennett. He loved life and loved the freedoms of America.
He loved to ride motorcycles and put a lot of time into fixing up his motorcycle. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also knew the Lord Jesus Christ. He loved life and was glad he got to know his children better in the end of his life.

Douglas Dean Royce

Douglas Dean Royce, 56, of Bauxite passed away May 20, 2013.  He was born Oct. 21, 1956, in Fontana, Calif., to John and Dottie Rolan Royce.
Dean was of the Baptist faith and worked at Landers Auto Dealership as a service tech since 1996.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Royce; grandparents, J.C. and Phyllis Rolan; and a grandson, Payton Conn.

Ishmel C. Norman

Ishmel C. Norman Sr., age 91, of Bryant passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013. He was born Nov. 25, 1921. in McRae. He was a member of the North Bryant Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Monell Norman; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Norman; three brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by one daughter, Regina Ewald and husband Don; one son, Clint Norman and wife Libby; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Dale Norman and wife Cecilia.

Ray Webb

Ray Webb, 75 of Bryant went home to be with the Lord on May 19, 2013.  He was born on January 10, 1938 to the late, John Harley and Ola Recreda Webb in Ozark, Arkansas.  Ray was a man that loved good jokes and loved God with all his heart; he was a member of Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Bryant for seventeen years. 
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Martha Sue Sullivan and two brothers, Coy and Floyd Webb.

Sophia Danielle Grace Brown

Heaven’s gain was our loss when Sophia Danielle Grace Brown was called home by our Lord on May 15, 2013, at 5:15 P.M.
She is being greeted in Heaven by her twin brothers, Trent Thomas and Collin James; maternal great-grandfather, Raymond Thompson; and paternal great-grandparents, Bill and Doris Brown and Bill and Billie Ruth Baldwin.

Gussie Alexander Pack Jr.

Gussie Alexander Pack Jr., 80, passed away May 11, 2013 in Green Cove Springs, Fla., following a brief illness. Gus was born in Orange Grove, Texas, attended school in Petronila and Robstown, and served as a cannoneer in the U.S. Army.
Following his service to his country, he and his wife Charlene resided in Little Rock,Tulsa, Oklahoma City, and most recently in Orange Park, Fla. Gus was a career salesman, and retired from Joe Esco Tire Co., Oklahoma City, in 1993. Following his retirement, Gus and Charlene relocated to Florida to be close to their granddaughter.

Betty Jean Martindale,

Betty Jean Martindale went to be with our Lord on May 15, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Hope to Stephen Leroy and Esther Murphy on July 24, 1931.  She married the love of her life, Joseph L. Martindale Sr., on July 17, 1953.
Betty graduated from Arkansas State Teachers College in 1953 and started a long career in teaching until retirement from Bauxite Public Schools after 19 years of service.
She moved with her family to Benton in 1960 where she lived out the rest of her life.

Billy Harold Ramsey

Billy Harold Ramsey, 81, of Benton went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, while surrounded by his family.  He was the third of nine children born July 7, 1931, to George Sr. and Esther Wright Ramsey. 
He was a member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. 
Mr. Ramsey was retired from Alcoa after 35 years and was owner-operator of Wright-Away Taxi for several years.

Michael Lynn Ives

Michael Lynn Ives, 35, of Bryant went to be with the Lord on May 13, 2013. Michael was born Sept. 13, 1977, to Phillip and Patricia Ives in Little Rock.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. Tracey Brady and Mr. and Mrs. John Ives; an uncle, Randy Brady; and cousins, Kevin Ives and Regina Duncan.
He is survived by his parents; his sister, Lori Yerberry and husband Daniel; and a nephew, Samuel.
