Freddie Gerald “Jerry” Henthorne

Freddie Gerald “Jerry” Henthorne, 72, of Benton, passed away April 22, 2014.  He was born April 15, 1942 in Bauxite to the late Freddie and Audry Green Henthorne.  Jerry was retired from Southwestern Bell where he worked as a telephone technician. 
He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Joyce Anne Henthorne.

Billy Joe Thornberry

Billy Joe Thornberry, age 64, passed away Tuesday April 22, 2014. He was born February 6, 1950 in Twist. Billy was retired from International Paper, an avid hunter, a devoted husband, having married the love of his life, Angela Purcell on July 5, 1986. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, J. T. Thornberry and Jessie Mae Grady Thornberry.

James Cloud

James Cloud, 86, of Benton died Tuesday, April 22, 2014.
He was born Jan. 28, 1928. in Traskwood to the late Henry and Lucy Lisenbey Cloud and was a licensed practical nurse.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews and a special friend, Jewell Teal.
Funeral service will be held in the chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (501-315-4047) at 11 a,n, Thursday, April 24, 2014.  Burial will follow in Mt. Harmony Cemetery in Haskell. 

Stephen Alan Colebank

Stephen Alan Colebank, 64, of Bryant, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014.  He was born Jan. 14, 1950, in Lamore, N.D.
Mr. Colebank worked for K-Mart and Saver as a manager and was a member of Christ Church on Vimy Ridge Road. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Thyra Colebank; and a brother, John Colebank.

C.W. 'Woodie' Howell

C.W. “Woodie” Howell, 79, of Alexander passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014.  He was born June 23, 1934. in Little Rock, to the late Chester Woodruff Howell Sr. and Una Belle Morris Howell Burnett. 
Mr. Howell was a painting contractor and owned C.W. Howell Painting Co. He served in the U.S. Army and attended Collegeville Nazarene Church.
Woodie was a member of the VFW No. 9095, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Moose Lodge No. 2567.
Mr. Howell was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Patricia; and a sister, Gail Cooper.

Patricia Ann Estes, 56, of Benton passed away Monday, April 21, 2014.
She was born Dec. 25, 1957, in Little Rock to the late Ervin and Ruth Jackson Moore.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandchild, Zene Griffin.

Jimmy Winbury

Jimmy Winbury, age 74, of East End was born Sept. 6, 1939, in Saline County.  He joyously entered his heavenly home Saturday, April 19, 2014, at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center, leaving much love but sadness to all who loved him. 
Jimmy had a tremendous love of the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of Potter Creek Hunting Club.  He was retired from AMF Cycle Co. and Coca-Cola Bottling Co. 
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Othel and Virginia Winbury; and two sisters, Betty and Hazel Eaton.

Donnie Lee (Watts) Dowden

Donnie Lee (Watts) Dowden, one of Bryant’s oldest longtime residents, passed away peacefully, Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the age of 93.  Donnie was preceded in death by her husband, Russell H. Dowden, Sr., her parents, Austin J. Watts, and Ura Irene Watts of Bryant.  Also, preceding Mrs. Dowden were sisters Mary Schwaller, Opal Rogers and Winnie Lansdown.  Born in Bryant, Arkansas, on March 27, 1921, Mrs. Dowden is survived by her three children, Russell H. Dowden, Jr. of New Palestine, Indiana, Danny L. Dowden of Manchester, Tennessee, and Donna D.

James Edward "Ed" Krebs

James Edward "Ed" Krebs, 90, of Haskell passed away on April 18, 2014.  Born March 25, 1924 in Portland, Oregon, to Charles and Jewell (Watts) Krebs, Ed leaves behind his wife of 68 years, Faye Anita (Callahan) Krebs, son James Michael "Mike" Krebs (Sandy) of Haskell, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many other loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father Ambrose Wise, older brother Alvin, and oldest son Gerald Edward “Jerry” Krebs.

Marie B. Collins

Marie B. Collins, 90, of Bryant, Ark., took her last breath on earth and her next breath in heaven on Wednesday, April 16, 2014.
Marie retired from Baptist Medical Center following many years of service as a surgical nurse.
Unlike most people, she had two green thumbs. Forever "39," she especially enjoyed ballroom dancing until she could dance only in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, George E. Collins Sr.; one daughter, Susan Collins Smith; and one son, James Edward Collins.
