LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) â€” Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department officials say traffic on Interstate 40 in St. Francis County will be detoured while a bridge is removed.
The AHTD says crews will begin removing a bridge on Highway 38 this week.
Traffic will be diverted across the Highway 38 ramps from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. starting on Tuesday. Traffic will cross Highway 38 and be placed back on I-40 using the existing entrance ramp.
This diversion of traffic will allow crews to begin the removal of the existing bridge structure on Highway 38.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) â€” Records from the U.S. Department of Agriculture show the number of farmers markets in Arkansas has more than tripled over the past decade.
The media reports the number of farmers markets has swelled from 28 in 2004 to 97 in 2014. Five markets were added this year. That makes Arkansas' growth the sixth-highest in the country.
Zachary Taylor with the state's agriculture department says relaxed regulations and a desire for local food have expanded established markets and created new ones.
