John Anderson Pierce, 75, of Haskell passed away Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at his home.
He was born April 21, 1939, in Bearden.
John retired after 30 years of employment with Interstate Sign Co. He was an Air Force veteran and a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Garland and Georgie Pierce; his brothers, William David Pierce, Charlie Pierce and Curtis Pierce; his sister, Daisy Hood; two sons-in-law, Anthony Hinds and Paul Baker; and a great-grandson, Dylan Baker.

Ava Lee Rogers, 91, of Traskwood, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 3, 2014.  She was born Aug. 29, 1923, in Berta, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Washington Davis and Emzie Belle Turney Davis of Perryville; four brothers, Andrew, Lawrence, Richard and Troy Davis; three sisters, Martha Wise, Floy Parsons and Vernice Hughes; her first husband, Chester Tallent of Hollis; her second husband, Clarence Gross of Traskwood; her third husband, McKelvy Rogers of Traskwood; her son, Charles Tallent; and her daughter, Louise Bata. 

Margie Marie Jarvis

Margie Marie Jarvis, age 88, of Bryant went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at her home. 
She was born April 20, 1926, in Austin, Ark., to the late Samuel W. and Nancy W. Robbins Ridgeway. 
Mrs. Jarvis had worked as a seamstress at Kellwood for 20 years and loved reading, crocheting and outdoor activity.  She was a loving and caring person. Her belief in the Lord and raising her seven children were most important in her life.  

Winnie Gail Hill

Winnie Gail Hill, 74, of Benton died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014. 
She was born May 16, 1940, in Odessa, Texas, to the late Kenneth Elwood and Lillie Addie (Harmon) Franklin.
Mrs. Hill taught history in the Benton School District for more than 20 years, then taught in Alaska and eventually in the Bryant School District.  She was a member of New Life Missionary Baptist Church.
