Mrs. Dorothy G. Patterson, 91, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014. She was born Sept. 12, 1923, in Illiopolis, Ill., to the late Jesse and Mae Garren.
She served in active duty in the U.S. Navy as an air traffic control tower operator from 1945 to 1946.
She graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science degree in applied science (Class of 1944) and from the Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn University) with a Bachelor of Science in Education (Class of 1949).

Thomas Edward Forner

Thomas Edward Forner, 54, of Benton passed away Nov. 17, 2014. He was born May 12, 1960, to Leonard and Nonojean Gilbert Forner of Aurora, Ill. 
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt. He loved to volunteer, especially for his church where he was a lighting and sound technician. He served as president of Benton Band Booster Club for seven years.
Thomas was a loyal husband and family man. He had a strong connection with his work family. Thomas loved and adored his children who were his life and world.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Leonard George Forner III.

Curtiss Lee Steven

Curtiss Lee Steven, 58, of Benton passed away Monday, Nov. 17, 2014.  He was born May 23, 1956 to Robert and Beverly Daniels Steven. 
He is survived by sons Christopher Steven of Benton, Keith Steven and Kameren Steven of St. Cloud, Minn.; a stepson, Jeffrey Cirigliano of Benton; three daughters, Debra Womack Steven of Benton, Jennifer Steven and Kealsie Steven of St. Cloud, Minn.' and six grandchildren.
A memorial service conducted by the family is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at Old Union Baptist Church.
Cremation was through Ashby Funeral Home.
