Residents can make a donation to the Bryant dog park by eating at U.S. Pizza during the "Dog-Gone Good Pizza" fundraiser set today from 5 p.m. until the restaurant closes at 10 p.m.
Ten percent of all sales will be donated to the Bryant Dog Park Build, said Tricia Power, animal control director.
U.S. Pizza also has a dog-friendly outdoor terrace, so people can bring their dogs to enjoy the event as well.
Carl W. Scott, 87, of Benton passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014.Â
He was born Sept. 27, 1926 in Prescott, to the late George and Georgia Floyd Scott.Â
Mr. Scott was an Army veteran of World War II, a retired truck driver and a member of Congo Road Baptist Church.Â He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and leaves behind many memories for his family to cherish. He loved the Lord and served him for many years.
Mr. Scott was an avid hunter and a fisherman and loved all things outdoors.Â
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sister.
Joe Wayne Cain, 91, of Benton died Sunday, March 23, 2014.
He was born May 6, 1922, in Centerville to the late Mac Monroe Cain and Cora Bryson Cain.
Mr. Cain served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1941 to 1945 during World War II. He later worked for the Pulaski County School District as a painter and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cain was preceded in death by his first wife, Amelia Roth Cain, and his second wife, Lucille Cain; two daughters, Donnie Porter and Linda Cain; and nine siblings.
Charles Lewis Keim, 59, of Benton passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014. He was born Jan. 25, 1955, in Benton to Dutch and Mary Ethyl Keim.
He loved to hunt, camp, and fish when he got the opportunity. He was dedicated to his work at WLS Sawmill in Benton, where he worked for 30 years.
He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Janice.
Melver Evelyn Collins Hardin, 96, of Benton died Sunday, March 23.Â She was born Jan. 14, 1918, in Monticello to the late Sam and Mary Elisabeth (Burrough) Collins and worked for the Bryant School District. She attended Benton First Assembly of God. Â
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Beb Hardin; her son, Jimmy Hardin; a granddaughter, Brandy Hardin; two brothers and five sisters.
Peter Paul Karczmarczyk III passed away March 23, 2014, in Little Rock.
He was born June 27, 1963, in Fort Madison, Iowa.
Pete lived a full life working in construction, farming and truck driving. He loved to fish and hunt. He was stricken down early in his life with a painful disability.

Doris W. â€śBudâ€ť Adams, age 90, of Benton passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014.Â
He was born May 22, 1923, in Bauxite.
Mr. Adams retired from the Army, having served in World War II, Vietnam War and the Korean Conflict.Â
He was a welder and a member of Benton Foursquare Church.Â
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents, William and Viola Adams; his wife, Sadie Pauline Adams; and a brother, Billie Adams.
Jimmy Richard Smith, 83, of Benton passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014.Â
He was the son of Richard and Floy Smith, who preceded him in death. He was also predeceased by an infant sister, Louise; and his brother-in-law, H. A. Steele.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bertha Mae Dobbs Smith; a daughter, Deborah of Benton; two sisters, Patsy Smith Steele and Pam Smith Newcomb (Gary) of Benton; two brothers, Ronnie Mac Smith (Brenda) of Benton and Robert â€śBobâ€ť Smith (Sue) of Pine Bluff; and several nephews, nieces and close friends.
Christine Brown, 62, of Hot Springs Village, a devoted Christian and loving wife and mother, went to her eternal home in heaven on Friday, March 21, 2014, in Hot Springs.
Chris was born in Panama City, Fla., to Leslie and Mary McCullough on Oct. 3, 1951.
She was raised with her sister, Gearldine, and her brother, Jim. She graduated from Vernon High School in 1970 and was beloved by her classmates in Vernon, Fla.
