2nd arrest made in shooting case: suspect taken in after leaving hospital

The man who last month allegedly shot himself on a stranger's front lawn on Millbrook Cove in Benton was arrested Friday, following his release from a local hospital.
Timothy Gauldin, 29, of Benton has been charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and filing a false police report.
A friend of Gauldin, 35-year-old Jason Gaunt of Benton, allegedly gave him the gun, according to police. He was arrested the day after the shooting and charged with furnishing a felon with a weapon.
Benton authorities say this is an ongoing investigation and additional charges could be possible. Police are encouraging anyone with information about this crime to contact the Benton Police Department at 501-778-1171 or 501-315-TIPS.
