Alesa Renee Smith, 22, of Benton passed away Friday, Feb. 1, in Woodward, Okla., while serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Alesa graduated from Glen Rose High School and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She is survived by her parents, Douglas and Tracy Smith of Benton; a brother Jonathan Smith of Benton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Misty and Doug Heward of Salt Lake City, Dana and Clayton Bloch of Benton, and Rachel Smith of Benton; her grandparents, Dolores Brady of Benton and Margie Neeley of Benton; three nephews, Ethan Bloch, Lincoln Heward and Benjamin Bloch; and three nieces, Kinley Heward, Jordyn Bloch, and Taylor Heward.
Funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Otter Creek with President Mike Beheshti officiating. Burial will follow at Fairplay Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Ashby Funeral Home.
