Anthony Dalton Johnson, 73, of Paron passed away Feb. 15. He was born Jan. 15, 1940 in Paron, to the late Ezra and Lillie Ethel Nethercutt Johnson.  Anthony was retired from Alcoa and farmed most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son J.J. Johnson, brother James Ezra “Junior” Johnson, sister Alice Lea Sullivan, grandparents Thomas Paul and Gertrude Harris Johnson and Rebel and Jessie Huchingson Nethercutt, and grandson Jonathan Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Johnson; sons Edwin Johnson and wife Cheryl, Tony Johnson and wife Katrina, and Kevin Johnson and wife Dee; brothers Clarence, Rodney, Joe “Hopper” and Larry Johnson; sister Ella Mae Cantrell; grandchildren Tyler, Jared, Beth, Chris, Kayla, Summer and Shane; and a great-grandson, Colby.
A chapel service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb.18, with the Rev. Don McCutcheon officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shane Johnson, Tyler Johnson Tompkins, Jared Johnson, Ben Rostan, Dave Ball, Dwight Williams, Grady Neal and Murl Curtis. Arrangements by Ashby Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, at Ashby Funeral Home.
