Mr. Ben Harvey Holiman age 86, of Benton died Friday May 27, 2011. He was born September 28, 1924 in Sheridan.
Ben was a loving Father and Grandfather who loved spending time with his “girls”, son-in-laws, grandchildren and other family and friends.
Ben loved to hunt, fish and garden.  He never met a stranger.
 Ben and Jean operated the Yellow Cab Co. and Trailways Bus Station for 43 years.  During that time they serviced the community and individuals many of who referred to him as “Mr. Ben”.  He retired from Spivey Chevrolet Co. in 1977. He was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church.
 He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Henry Lee and Flossie Siggers Holiman Brothers, Lee, Charles and Leonard.  Sisters,
Edna Holiman, Geneva Huey, Marie Barnes.
 He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joyce Jean Holiman, daughters and son-in-laws, Joyce and Dan Ivy, Benette and Jim Cook, Charlotte and Lee Smith, Mary and James Alexander and Ava and James McClintock, sister, Mildred Morehead Brown, grandchildren, Reid Ivy, Jimmy & Katie Cook, Jetta & Jacob Perry, Casie & Chris Sculley, Crissy & Mike Smith, Ross Francis, Todd & Dani Hearn and Keaton McClintock and 5 great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Pine Crest Cemetery. Minister will be James McClintock and Frank Thurman.
 Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Ashby’s.
