Bobby Elven King

Bobby Elven King, son of Leaman King and Hettie Kelly King, was born in Traskwood, Saline County, Ark., on Oct. 5, 1934, and passed away at Bryant, Ark., on May 1, 2014, at the age of 79.
Bobby worked as a contractor for a cable company and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served with the Nike Guided Missile Unit in California from 1955 until 1957.  He was a member of the Center Fork Missionary Baptist Church in Hot Springs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leaman and Hettie King; a brother, Billy King; and a sister, Bonita Schmidt. 
He is survived by three daughters, Terri Wise and husband Walt of Benton, Laurie Camp and husband Keith of Benton and Carol Burrow and husband Charles of Benton; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Olan King of Benton, Rolan King of Benton, Wayman King of New Mexico and Norman King of New Mexico; one sister, Donna Whitfield of New Mexico; and other relatives and many friends.
A graveside service with military will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 7401 Arkansas 5 North in Alexander. The Rev. Carl Richey will officiate.
