April 11, 2013

Mabel Boswell Library in Bryant

The public will bring photos, clippings, documents, manuscripts and records dating from the 19th and 20th century to the Bryant Historical Society's "Show and Tell of Bryant" tonight.
The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Boswell Library in Bryant.
Jane Thompson, archival manager at the Arkansas History Commission, will explain how to preserve photos, documents or other historical memorabilia, Kuhn added.
"We also want the public to come and share their memory and knowledge of people, home places, stores, events, and politicians or businessmen of earlier times in the city of Bryant," said Patsy Kuhn, director of the Bryant Historical Society. "We are especially currently interested in the area of Northeast Old Town Bryant between Reynolds Road and Laurel Street and Mills Park Road and NE First Street."
The society will host a tour of this area at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 5.
