Bryant special election is not for new tax

The Bryant special election is not about a new tax but instead residents are being asked to approve how tax money the city is already receiving will be spent.
According to the ballot, funds generated by a 3/8 percent tax would be used to build two new fire station to replace two outdated ones.
Early voting started Tuesday at Grace Church (formerly Pentecostal Church) on Arkansas 5 (Stagecoach Road). The last day for early voting is today from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 12, all voting will be conducted at the various precincts. Polls will open at 7:30 a.m. and close at 7: 30 p.m.
The Bryant polling sites are First United Methodist Church, Grace Church and First Southern Baptist Church, all in Bryant; and Central Arkansas Church of Christ in Alexander.
