Bryant Superintendent placed on administrative leave

Bryant Superintendent Randy Rutherford has been placed on administrative leave for at least the next 30 days.
The district released this statement about the situation.
"The Bryant Board of Education is actively developing a plan to ensure interim leadership at the superintendent level. The board has the utmost confidence in the ability of the current administration to handle any questions or decision that may arise until an interim leader is designated."
Further information is confidential, said Rhonda Sanders, school board president.
The board will be meeting for a personnel session Tuesday March 11 at 5:30 p.m.
Communications Director, Devin Sherrill would not release information about what will be discussed.
