Charlene Wheat Burns

Charlene Wheat Burns, 69, of Glen Rose, went to be with her Lord on Sept. 24, at her home. She was born Oct. 26, 1941, in Malvern to the late A.J. and Dossie (Floyd) Wheat. 
Charlene was an LPTN and worked for the state of Arkansas for 32 years.  She also was a member of Reyburn Creek Baptist Church, a loving mother, grandmother, and  great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her niece, Christy Jones White.
She is survived by her son, Rodney Tarvin and wife Lisa of Benton; a daughter, Terry Smith of Glen Rose; her grandchildren, Stacy Bekkela and husband Aaron of Colorado, Shelly Bradshaw of Glen Rose, Savanna Tarvin, Addison Tarvin and Alex Tarvin, all of Benton; and two great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by a sister, Shirley Jones and husband Bill of Glen Rose; and several nieces and nephews.
 Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, in the Regency Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Todd Bray and Don McCutcheon officiating.  Burial will follow at Fairplay Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Rick Jones, Jon Skinner, Donnie Nutt, Michael Emerson , Jerald Tarvin and Mike Herrera. 
 Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Monday, Sept. 26, at the funeral home.
The family will be at the family residence, 1652 Kirkpatrick Road
