Charles T. Steuart

Charles Thomas "Tommy" Steuart of Benton, formerly of Hot Springs, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2013. He was born Jan. 13, 1946, in Hot Springs to Luther and Christine Steuart.
Charles graduated from Hot Springs High School with the Class of 1963. He was the owner of CTS Rocks and Minerals in Hot Springs.
After serving with the Air Force in Vietnam, he graduated from Arkansas Tech, where he earned a degree in geology. He was employed as a geologist until his retirement in 2011.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife and mother of his children, Anne Arnold Steuart; and a son, Steven Steuart.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ashley Steuart; a daughter, Beth Brennan and husband Mike of Hot Springs; a foster son, Sam Patterson of Benton; two stepdaughters, Gretchen Ritchey and husband Michael of Benton and Ashley Pulley and husband Brian of Nashville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Steven Thomas Steuart and wife Mandy of Hot Springs, Collin Gomez of Great Lakes, Ill., Shelby Gomez of Hot Springs, Steven Brennan and Molly Brennan, both of Hot Springs; great-granddaughter, Izzy Steuart of Hot Springs; an aunt, Mamie Ruth Abernathy of Hot Springs; a sister, Charlotte Bell of Conway; his faithful canine companion, Lucy; plus countless friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today at Gross Funeral Home Chapel in Hot Springs.
Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens in Hot Springs.
