Charlotte Goss Whatley

Charlotte Goss Whatley, 68, of Benton went to be with her Lord on Thursday, Feb. 16.
She was born Oct. 8, 1943, in Little Rock to the late John Calvin Goss and Callie Mae Cochran Goss. She was an accountant for Walmart for 30 years and was a member of The Church at Rock Creek.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Elizabeth Goss; a son, David Calvin Whatley; her brothers, Gary, Phillip, David and Wallace Goss and Charles William Barker.
She is survived by her husband, George Whatley; a daughter, Georgia Whatley of Benton; a granddaughter, Alishia Vergason and husband Shawn; three sisters, Mary Bush of Palm Bay, Fla., Cheryl Ball and husband Larry and Lisa Brewer and husband Gary, all of Mabelvale; four brothers, John Goss and wife Margaret of Benton, Harold Goss and wife Sue of Alexander, Greg Goss, Gerald Goss and wife Kathy, all of Alexander; and numerous nieces and nephews who considered her a second mother.
Funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, with the Rev. Phillip Stein officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Family members will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the organization of choice.
