Christi Lynn Allen

January 31, 2013

Christi Lynn Allen of Benton went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Jan. 26, 2013. She was born May 11, 1962 in Kennett, Mo.
Christi was passionate about caring for the elderly. She recently cared for elderly clients whom many she adopted and cared for as her own family. She was a loving person and that love spread into the many hearts and lives she touched.
Christi was a tremendous animal lover. She rescued many pets and cared for them, some of which she kept and some she found good homes for. Christi had a passion for elephants. She collected elephant figurines and loved going to the elephant yard at the Little Rock Zoo. The elephant is known for being even-tempered and friendly and Christi also possessed those same traits.
She is survived by her loving children, Jason Wyatt Earp and wife Kerri of Austin, Texas, and Jayme Lynn Allen of Benton; her parents, Jim Grasse Sr. and Ruth Dawson Grasse of Benton; a sister, Melissa Ann Smith of Sheridan; a brother, Jimmy Grasse II and wife Paula of Bryant; two grandchildren, Kaden and Karter Earp of Austin, Texas; two nephews, Hunter and Hayden Smith of Sheridan; a niece, Taylor Toney of Bryant; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A memorial celebration will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 2, at The Lakes of Hurricane Creek, 2500 Bellerive Avenue in Bryant across from Bishop Park on Boone Road).
Memorial contributions may be made in Christi's honor to the Pulaski County Humane Society.
