Courier accepting 2014 Pet Calendar entries until June 10

May 22, 2013

Six-year-old Toots, left, a rat terrier, is the pet of Josh Briggs. Two-year-old Rebel, a terrier-mix, is the pet of Tony Lenahan. Both owners are staff members at The Saline Courier.

The Saline Courier is now accepting entries for the 2014 Pet Calendar contest, a benefit for its Newspapers in Education program.
Sign up for the contest at the Courier office, 321 N. Market St. in Benton, or look for entry forms in select issues of the paper.
Entrants must provide a photo of the pet by itself. The pet must currently reside in Saline County. Each entry is $5.
The top-12 vote-getters will be featured in a 2014 calendar, which will go on sale in November for $2 each.
Each pet will be professionally photographed for the calendar.
The entry period concludes Monday, June 10.
Voting will take place from June 11 to Aug. 2, and winners will be announced in August. Votes will cost 25 cents. There is no limit on number of votes cast.
