Darryl Wayne Shepherd

A memorial service and family visitation for Darryl Wayne Shepherd, 51, of LaVergne Tenn., will be held Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, in the fellowship hall of Grace Bible Fellowship Church, 14 Beaverfork Road in Conway, Ark.
Mr. Shepherd was born Oct. 13, 1962, in Little Rock, the son of Jack W. Shepherd (Sandra) and Carolyn Ward Crist of Alexander, Ark.. He passed away on July 6, 2014, at his home from complications of respiratory disease.
Darryl attended schools in Bryant and Conway, served in the U.S. Navy and was formerly employed by Waffle House Restaurant. He was a caregiver for his disabled nephew, Scott Bell, who lived with him.
He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Finis W. and Jewel Shepherd of Conway and William C. and Inez Ward of Little Rock.
Other survivors include his son, Anthony Shepherd (Jessica) and three grandchildren, Hayden, Karlee and Wyatt, all of Alexander; his sister, Lisa Shepherd Bell Lindish (Mark); a niece, Blake Beaty; a nephew, Logan Beaty, all of Hendersonville, Tenn.; his step-grandmother, Jeanenne Shepherd of Conway; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 75851, Topeka KS 66675; or to a charity of choice.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
