Don Gary Ewing

Don Gary Ewing, of Benton passed away on Feb. 26 at the age of 63.
Don was born Jan. 29, 1950, in Fort Worth, Texas. He retired from JCPenney after 37 years, 13 of which were spent as manager of the JCPenney in Benton.
Don was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served as Grand Knight.  He was a member of the Kiwanis Club in Ada, Okla., and a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Benton. 
He was preceded in death by his father, Irwin Cooke Ewing II; and a brother, Irwin Ewing III.
Don is survived by his wife of 32 years, Deannine; his mother, Evelyn Ewing of Kerrville, Texas; his sons, John Ewing and wife Tammy of St. Paul, Minn., and Jake Ewing and wife Callie of Irving, Texas; two daughters, Dawn Simmons and husband Drew and Larissa Glover and husband Chris; a brother, Tom Ewing and wife Becky of Houston, Texas; a sister-in-law, Sylvia Ewing (widow of Irwin Ewing) of El Paso, Texas; and a granddaughter, Mary Ewing. 
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. 
A rosary in honor of Don will be held at 8:15 p.m. today, March 1, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
