Donald R. "Don" Masters

Donald R. "Don" Masters, 71, of Benton passed away Wednesday, Jan. 4. He was born Sept. 18, 1940, to the late Walter B. and Eunice (McAllister) Masters in Antlers, Okla.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Highway Church of Christ and worked in the construction business.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David Masters; and two sisters, Jenelle Bradford and Wanda Lou Plamer.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Masters; two sons Eddie Masters and wife Rebecca of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Greg Mays and wife Karen of Benton; three daughers, Donna Jackson and husband Mike of Quinlan, Texas, Tonna Jackson and husband Chris of Alexander, and Kim Sternisha and husband Mick of Olive Branch, Miss.; three sisters, Norma Hill and husband Gene, of Antlers, Okla., Joyce Brown and husband Skip of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Gale Seabolt of Oklahoma City, Okla,; one brother, Dennis Masters and wife Carla of Little Rock; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at Highway Church of Christ with Minister Jerry Almond officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, at the funeral home.
