Edna D. James, 75, of Alexander passed away Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at Saline Memorial Hospice House in Bryant.
She was born May 9, 1938, in Pine Bluff to the late Walter C. and Hazel Paralee White McGrew.
Mrs. James was retired. She was a Jehovah’s Witness.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Johnny C. Davis Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Rex D. James of Alexander; four daughters, Mara L. Moody and husband Wayne, Carol Ann Davis, Jennifer L. Bailey and husband Mark, all of Saline County, and Leann McLean and husband Dan of Queen Creek, Ariz.; four sons, Rex D. James II and wife Edna of San Diego, Calif., and Gary A. James and wife Susan, Randy L. James, and Philip R. James and wife Amy, all of Paso Robles, Calif.; one sister, Erva June Williford of Ferndale; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, at the Benton Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Brother Gordon Eagle officiating.
Immediately after the service, a reception will be held at Whispering Pines Community Center in Benton.
