Elizabeth Mae Spurgeon, 93, of Benton went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 22.
She was born Sept. 18, 1919, in Little Rock to the late Terry Albert Sutton and Lena L. Niehaus Sutton. She was an accountant for J.C. Penney Co. and of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 62 years, Claburn Spurgeon; eight brothers and sisters; and one great-grandchild.
She is survived by her son, William Spurgeon and wife Sherry of Benton; a daughter, Kathy Stacks of Bryant; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home in Little Rock with the Revs. Edgar Sutton and Bud Avants officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m., Friday January 25 at the funeral home.
