Eugenia J. 'Nena' Ledford

Eugenia J. “Nena” Ledford, 91, of Benton passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Heartland Rehabilitation and Care Center in Benton.  She was born May 27, 1921, in Prattsville to the late Edgar and Denver Crowson Haley.
In addition to being a homemaker, she worked at Reynolds Metals as a war worker during World War II and worked as a seamstress. She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1941. Nena was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Congo Hill Chapter, a member of THEOS and of the Methodist faith. 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed E. Ledford; and three brothers, Crowson E. Haley, Willie E. Haley and Charles E. Haley.
She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Kay F. Haley and Ruby Johnson; her nephews, Crowson E. Haley Jr., Glenn E. Haley and Charles E. Haley Jr.; her nieces, Sylvia J. Lott and Linda D. Haley; many cousins, great-nieces, and nephews and her caregiver and close friend, Carol Coney.
Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton with her cousin, Mark Gillis, officiating. Burial will follow at New Rosemont Memorial Park in Benton. 
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
