Being recognized as a national leader is becoming a habit at Everett Buick GMC.
For the third consecutive year, the family-owned business has been named the top GM dealership in the United States for 2012. More than 3,100 vehicles were purchased at Everett's in 2012, up from 2,665 in 2011.
"If someone would have told me six years ago this would happen three years straight, I wouldn't have believed them," said owner Dwight Everett.
"We could not have accomplished what we have here without the support of the community and the partnership we have with GM," co-owner Susie Everett added.
Representatives from General Motors were on hand Wednesday afternoon to present the prestigious award to the Everetts at the Saline County dealership located on Interstate 30.
Bruce Dudash, manager of After Sales for GM, said the Everett dealership is particularly good at one of the most important aspects identified for success.
"One of the buzzwords we use is 'retention' and they are excellent at it here at Everett's," he said.
Retention speaks to building repeat customers not just for sales, but for service as well. "They do a tremendous job with customers who come back time after time."
Identifiying the formula for success Everett has experienced was easy for Dudash. "They take good care of their customers, and they do it consistently."
Brian Sweeney, U.S. vice president of sales and service for GM, as well as Eric Cunningham, regional director for the South Central Region of Buick GM, were present to present the trophy to the Everetts.
Jerome Pillow, district manager of sales, agreed.
"The Everetts treat people right," he said. "If they ever have a tough issue, they call and we work it out together. They will do whatever it takes to make things right for the customer. Their success speaks for itself."
