Garlton Adon Carter, 73, of Benton left this world to dwell in the House of the Lord on Sept. 7, 2013.
He was born April 6, 1940, to Ralph and Birgie (Pharis) Carter in Dardanelle. He was a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a man of great faith and will forever be missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Suzy (Edwards); his children, Dewayne, Kori, and Brett; grandchildren, Erica, Shawn, Nick, Jake, Dylan, Matthew, Jax, Kennedy, and Emma, as well as five great-grandchildren. 
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Ashby Funeral Home with the Rev. Brittany Richardson-Watson officiating. Burial will be at Pinecres Memorial Park.
Visitation is set from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, at the funeral home.
