Hazel (Kriegbaum) Russ

Hazel (Kriegbaum) Russ, 82, of Benton passed away on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013. She was born on March 23, 1931, in Saline County, to the late William George and Gladys Hazel (Lee) Kriegbaum. Mrs. Russ was a 1948 graduate of Bryant High School, a 1951 graduate of St. Vincent Infirmary. She retired in 1989, after 38 years of devoted service to the profession she loved. She was a longtime member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Francis A. "Pete" Russ and brother Bill Kriegbaum.
She is survived by daughter Charliss Russ of Little Rock, brother Bobby Kriegbaum and wife Jo of Benton, sister Anna Mae Rhodes of Benton, and many other beloved relatives.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 21, in the gazebo at Pinecrest Memorial Park, with Ross Lee and John Woolem officiating. Funeral arrangements are by Roller-Ballard Funeral Home, 501-315-4047.
