Homicide victim in Saline County identified

The Saline County Sheriff's Office has confirmed the identity of a dead body found off River Road on Sunday as 19-year-old Gregory Tyrone Pikes of Benton.
As of press time, no person(s) of interest have been named by authorities. The manner in which Pikes was killed was also not released as of press time.
Lt. Scotty Courtney, public information officer for the Saline County Sheriff's Office, said two people driving in a hunting lease off River Road in Haskell discovered the body. He said the investigation is on-going and anyone with information concerning this case are asked to call the Criminal Investigation Division at 501-303-5608.
