James E. Prysock

James E. Prysock, 90, of Benton, died Wednesday, July 13. He was born January 20, 1921, to Will and Anna Prysock in Grubbs. James was a WWII Army veteran and worked for McGeorge Construction Company for 48 years. James was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church for 44 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, four sisters and one grandchild.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Clair Bell Robertson Prysock; four sons, James Prysock and wife, Mary, John Smith and wife, Bonnie, Bill Prysock and wife, Kay and Rick Prysock and wife, Dileen; daughter, Leisa Lewis and husband, Rick; two brothers, L.C. and Joe Prysock; two sisters, Carolyn Long and Billie Raley; special brother-in-law, James Bradshaw; 11 grandchildren, Darren Prysock and wife, Melissa, Michael Prysock and wife, Carrie, Kevin Smith, Allen Smith, Angie Stillwell and husband, Steave, Tiffany Mahan and husband, Billy, Kaley Prysock, Matt Prysock, Trudy Tittle and husband, Bryson, Tosha Handly and husband, Bill and Amy Lewis; 12 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ashby Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Hicks Cemetery. Mike Harmon will be officiating.
