James Martin Mahan

James Martin Mahan, 74, of Hot Springs went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 27, 2013.  He was a retired employee of Reynolds Metals in Benton and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Amy Gunter and Roscoe Mahan; a sister, Shirley Ann Mahan; and three brothers Calvin, Johnny and C.J. Mahan.
James is survived by his wife of 54 years, Geneva Mahan; three children, Deborah Speer of Amity, Teresa Hampel of Benton and Martin Mahan of Greenwood; six brothers, Bobby Coker of Benton, Bill Coker of Perryville, Larry Mahan of Sherwood, Eddie Mahan of Chatsworth, Ga., Jerry Mahan of Rocky Face, Ga., and David Mahan of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.;  seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. 
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home on Section Line Road in Hot Springs. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Hot Springs under the direction of Caruth-Hale.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 30, at the funeral home.
