Joseph A. Gonsalves' journey through life came to an end on Feb. 16. He was 48 and of Benton..
He was born March 19, 1964. He attended John Glenn High School and later earned his diploma in San Diego. He had a passion for fishing, and he loved being a carpenter and roofer. He loved being a father, and he cherished his family and friends. His ability to see a silver lining in everything will be missed.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa; stepsons Johnathan Albertsen and Grant Quick; his mother, Marilyn; his father, Robert and wife Betty; his brothers, Robert Jr. and wife Paula and Kenneth and wife Tammy; his sister, Miranda and husband Mark; several nieces and nephews; and the extended Gonsalves family.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. March 2 at 4624 N. Detonti Road in Bauxite and at 2 p.m. March 9 at Holy Family Church, 18708 Clarksdale Ave., Artesia, Calif. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Family Church.
Cremation was through Ashby Funeral Home in Benton.
