Laveta Jestice

Laveta Jestice, age 78, of Little Rock passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013. She was born Nov. 20, 1934 in Paragould. Laveta was retired from AT&T after 231/2 years and was a member of Springhill Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Dove Emma McNeil Scrivner; a sister, Mary Lee Bacon; and a brother, Sank Scrivner.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon L. and Gary Tiner, Karen A. and Tom Horihan, and Deborah C. and David Grimmett; grandchildren, Michael Tiner and Emily Ruff, Tiffany and Brandon Hilliker, Joseph Horihan, and Christy Wilson, Chelsea and Jason Martin; a great-grandson, Hayden Hilliker; nieces, Doris Slaten and Freda Jamison; and nephews, Vertis Scrivner and Jobe Moore.
Funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at Ashby Funeral Home with Brother Steven Sewell officiating. Burial will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are Gary Tiner, David Grimmett, Tom Horihan, Joseph Horihan, Jason Martin and Brandon Hilliker.
Memorials may be made to the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund, 8602 Springhill Road, Alexander, AR 72002.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, at Ashby Funeral Home.
