Lawrence Jerome Hobby, 75, of Mabelvale passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014. 
He was born May 25, 1938, in Long Beach, Calif. Mr. Hobby retired from the Navy, having served during the Vietnam War, and later retired from IBM. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thelmer and Zella Hobby; his wife, Antoinette Hobby; a twin brother, Gary Hobby; and a sister, Hazel Martin and husband Emory L. Martin Sr.
He is survived by two brothers, Alfred L. Hobby and wife Catherine and Phillip N. Hobby and wife Dana; a sister, Eva Jean Gehring; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, at McPherson Cemetery in Sardis. 
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Feb. 4, at Ashby Funeral Home.
