Layla Rose Tolar, 8, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at her home in Lonsdale.
Layla was born Sept. 29, 2004, in Little Rock. She was a student at Fountain Lake Elementary School and was an ambassador for Arkansas Children's Hospital. She was also a member of Faith Fellowship Church.
She is survived by her parents, Jim “Jay” and Mandy Mitchell Tolar of Lonsdale; a sister, Harley Rae Tolar of Lonsdale; her maternal grandparents, Dan Mitchell and Darla Mitchell; her paternal grandparents, James and Charlotte Tolar; her maternal great-grandmother, June Mitchell; her paternal great-grandmothers, Betty Mitchell and Katherine Tolar; other relatives, and many friends.
Funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, March 25, at Gravel Hill Baptist Church with Brother Dewayne Bowen and Brother Gary Gipson officiating.  Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Charles Reagan, Cody Copeland, Brad Merideth, Matthew Bowen, Bryan O’Bryan and Bradley Hudson.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. today, March 24, at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047).
