Lena Mary Ramsey

Lena Mary Ramsey, age 95, of Benton, passed away May 28, 2011. She was born July 16, 1915, in Palestine, to the late William Alfred Clark and Lovie Gillis Clark. 
Ms. Ramsey had a deep faith in Christ, and was very independent. She was often called “Sunshine,” as she always looked toward the positive side in life. She owned a store and flower shop for many years. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Newell P. Ramsey. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred Jerome Clark and Nathan L. Clark and three nephews, Aubrey Dean Brewer, Robert Clark, and Calvin Ritchey. 
She is survived by one sister, Lucille Brewer of Haskell; five nephews, Alan D.  (wife, Phyllis Clark) of Springfield, Mo., Harvey (wife, Kathy) Brewer of Benton, Leon (wife, Connie) Brewer of Haskell, Billy (wife, Edith) Ramsey of Benton, Leon (wife, Donna) Cornett of Benton, and Harold (wife, Betty) Clark of Grapevine; five nieces, Diane (husband, Joey) Lyman of Haskell, Kathy Richards of Benton, Peggy (husband, Terry) Pendergrass, of Tull, Carolyn (husband, Alan) Capps of Little Rock, and Debbie Winfrey of Sheridan; as well as sister-in-law, Kathleen Clark of Tull; and special friend and angel Helen Woods of Benton. 
Funeral service was today at 10 a.m. at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home Chapel, and Rev. Kim Hammer officiated. Burial followed at Ebenezer Cemetery in Tull.
