Madora Earle Hollinger

Madora Earle Hollinger of Prattsville died Sunday, Jan. 27, at Saline Memorial Hospice in Benton at the age of 90. Mrs. Hollinger was born April 13, 1922 in Prattsville, the daughter of the late George Wyatt and Audrey Augusta Lindsey Earle. She was a faithful member of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church and worked many years at Rockwell and the Whippet. She enjoyed quilting, working in her yard, cooking — especially her fried pies, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hershel Hollinger; a daughter, Sandra K. Hollinger; and a sister, Earlene Lawrence.
She is survived by her daughter, Pat Martin and husband Johnny of Prattsville; brother G. W. Earle and wife Lana of Batesville; sister Toby Glassco and husband Bill of Prattsville; grandson Danny Martin and wife Cindy; great-granddaughters Fallon Martin and Te’a Henson; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service is scheduled for 3 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Don Goodman officiating. Pallbearers will be Terry Glassco, B.L. Barber, Phillip Corley, Pat Campbell, Randy Buie and Robert Earl Mooney. Arrangements are by Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan, 870-942-1306.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
