Marva Joyce Reed

Marva Joyce Reed, 69, of Benton passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2014.
She was born May 10, 1944, in Hot Springs. 
Mrs. Reed retired from the Arkansas Health Center and was a member of Ten Mile Missionary Baptist Church.  She was a very proud member of the “Baseball Nanas." 
Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Arvelee Teague; two brothers, Marion Lee Teague and Ronnie Teague; and a sister, Sherland McNeely.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jerry Reed; a son, Jerry L. Reed and wife Terri; a daughter, Kellye Williams and husband Brinson; a brother, Phillip Teague; a sister, Jeannie Fendley; five grandchildren, Sydni Williams, Megan Dowling, Ashlee Reed, Alex Williams and Brinson “Little B” Williams; one great-granddaughter, Addyson Williams; and many extended family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at Ten Mile Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Ten Mile Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Robert McNeely, Aubrey McNeely, John Hughes, Paul Hughes, Ronnie Teague, Lee Teague, Tony Loy and Ray Reed.  Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Warford, Gary McCormack, Roy Fendley, Robbie Teague, Michael Teague, Bill Hughes, Paul Simmons and Tim Finley.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at Ashby Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Joyce Reed Cancer Fund at any Summit Bank location.
