Mary G. Burdick, 81, of Benton passed away February 11.
She was born Sept. 4, 1931, in Houston, Texas, to George and Isabell Fields.
She was a member of the Legion of Mary at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Kenner, La.Â Mary also attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help and St. Matthew's Catholic Churches.Â In her adult life she was active in the Girl Scouts and enjoyed going camping with the girls.Â She loved all children.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Angeles and Nick Fields. Â
She is survived by her husband, Richard Burdick; a son, Richard Burdick Jr.; a grandson, Richard Burdick Marks and wife Rachel; a sister, Dorothy Fecher of Pearl River, La.; her nieces, Belinda Wallace, Theresa Van Horn and husband Steve, Terry LaChute and husband Jim, Becky Smith of Conroe, Texas, Susie Robertson of Texas; nephews, Paul and Tony Fields of Texas, Jerry Fields and wife, Sabrina of Onalaska, Texas; and sisters-in-law, Ruth Bisbee of Hensley and Movise Cantrell of Metairie, La.; a cousin, Margrita Marez of Oakland, Calif.; and her partner in religion and Scouting, Linda Owens.
Cremation was through Ashby Funeral Home.Â Mary requested no services.
