Mildred C. Shaw

Mildred C. Shaw, 85, of Benton passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 2013.  She was born May 20, 1928, in Hot Springs to the late Charley and Bessie Wooten Blair.
Mildred was a member of Fairplay Baptist Church and worked at Saline Memorial Hospital in the X-Ray Department.
She was an excellent cook, seamstress and loving mother and grandmother.
Mildred loved working in her rose garden and canning fruits and vegetables.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Odis Shaw, of 66 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Humes of Benton and Carolyn Sepulvado and husband Pat of Malvern; a special brother-in-law, Danny Shaw; grandchildren, Tony Dunn and wife Stephanie, Vailerie Ahart, Jase Humes and wife Amber, Kacee Humes and fiance Justin; great-grandchildren, Tony Jr. and Mackie Ahart.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Ashby Funeral Home with Johnny Garrett officiating. Burial will follow at Ten Mile Cemetery.
Visitation is set from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Ashby Funeral Home.
