Mildred Inez Evans

Mildred Inez Evans, 84, of Benton was called to her heavenly home on Sept. 8, 2013.
Inez was born in Nathan on Aug. 5, 1929, to Abrum and Beulah Hadaway. Inez loved her God and her family and they always came first, but after that her next love was golf. She was a member and club champion of the Longhills Ladies Golf Association and also was instrumental in the organization of softball in the Salem community.
She was an active volunteer in the communities in which she lived including Yarborough Landing Ladies Auxiliary in Ashdown, as well as serving as Worthy Matron in her chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, Gene Evans; a sister, Estene Simpson; and three brothers, Joe, Travis and Troy Hadaway.
She is survived by one brother, J.C. Hadaway and wife Nellie of Ashdown; a daughter, Patricia Isaacson and husband Ron of Texarkana, Texas; two sons, Dicky Evans and wife Goldie and Kenny Evans and wife Emily, all of Benton; grandchildren, Jeff, Lora (Tracy), Jake (Jessica), Suzanne, Megan and Sarah as well as six great-grandchildren, Justin, Taylor, Kristen (Daniel), Bryan, Zayda and Korbin; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 11, at Ashby Funeral Home with the Rev. Carlton Cross officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Ashby Funeral Home.
 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saline Memorial Hospice House.
