Mildred Satterwhite (Grancy) Hinkson

Mildred Satterwhite (Grancy) Hinkson, 96, of Benton died June 14. She was born August 13, 1914, in Hope. Mildred was married to James E. Hinkson, who preceded her in death. She was the mother of seven sons and one daughter, and an active member of Old Union Baptist Church for over 50 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Nina Thomas and husband, Allen; sons, David Hinkson and wife, Barbara, Edwin Hinkson and wife, Sandy, Charles Hinkson and wife, Donna, Lonnie Hinkson, Tim Hinkson and wife, Rochelle, Philip Hinkson and wife, Kathy, Mark Hinkson and wife, Jeannie, all of Benton; 40 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
Grancy will be remembered for many things, but most of all for her love and dedication to our Lord and Savior. She will also be remembered for her love and devotion to her family and friends, her great sense of humor, and the smile she always wore. If there was ever an angel in the flesh on earth, it was Momma!
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Old Union Baptist Church on Hwy. 298 West of Benton. Arrangements are through Ashby Funeral Home.
