Milton T. Smith

Milton T. Smith, age 82, of Benton, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013.  He was born Aug. 20, 1931, in Greenville, S.C.
Mr. Smith was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a pastor for 58 years. He was a minister for the Pentecost Church of God. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. Smith Sr. and Nettie Smith; his first wife, Alice Smith; a daughter, Wanda Kaye Smith; three brothers, Calvin R. Smith, George W. Smith Jr. and Richard Smith; and five sisters, Iris Bowlin, Lucille Hodge, Elender Brown, Dorothy Wright and Nellie Manley.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Smith of Benton; two daughters, Lisa Lusty and husband J. Michael of Conway, and Leslie Kelley and fiance Chris Reedy of Alexander; a brother, Bobby L. Smith of Greenville, S.C.; a sister, Naomi Griffin of Ocala, Fla.; a grandson, Christopher Smith; two granddaughters, Faith and Grace Lusty; and three great-granddaughters, Makayla, Brianna and Victoria.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at Ashby Funeral Home.
Funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Ashby Funeral Home. Burial will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
After the funeral service, a fellowship for family and friends is planned at Earthen Vessel Church, 4023 Gattin Road in Benton.
