Porter Everette Tully

Porter Everette Tully, 67, of Benton passed away Saturday, Feb. 23. He was born Aug. 12, 1945, in Monticello. Porter was retired from General Electric, served in the U.S. Navy and was a member and deacon of East Side Baptist Church. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Annie Tully; a brother John Tully, Jr.; and a sister, Scharlene Cornett.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Annie Ruth Tully of Benton; two sons, Chris Tully of Sardis and Creig Tully of Benton; two brothers, Howard Tully and James Tully, both of Benton; two sisters, Martha Smith of Pine Bluff and Jewell Wright of Benton; and five grandchildren, Alan Goss and Grant, Maranda, Shelby and Olivia Tully.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at East Side Baptist Church, with burial to follow at New Rosemont Cemetery. The Rev. Stephen Raines will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Sid Welch, Russell Kitchens, Ryan Kitchens, Cody Kitchens, Larry Smith and Gary DuVall.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at Ashby Funeral Home.
